Required Documents to Book Jungle Safari in Jim Corbett

  • To be provided along with the confirmatory amount is the visitor's full name, age, and gender as they appear on their identity cards
  • You should have the ID card number of your choice (Voter Id, Aadhar No, Driver's License No, etc.)
  • Bring the same ID proof as you did when you booked. A valid passport is a requirement for anyone not from India.
  • For foreign tourists to make reservations, passport details are required

Safari Zones in Jim Corbett

Bijrani

There is a great deal of natural beauty and open grasslands in the Bijrani Zone, which makes it very popular among tourists. Ramnagar city is only 1 km away from the entry gate of the zone.

Dhikala

Known for its abundance of natural beauty and diversity of jungle species, Dhikala is one of the most popular jungle safari zones in Corbett. Ramnagar is 18 km away from the entry gate. It is highly recommended that wildlife enthusiasts spend a night inside the Dhikala Tourism Zone.

Dhela

In November 2014, Dhela was included in the tiger reserve zone in Corbett National Park. Located at a distance of 13 kilometers from Ramnagar City, the zone is attracting a great number of tourists because of its flourishing flora and fauna.

Durgadevi

Those who are fond of bird watching can find heaven on earth at the Durga Devi zone, which is on the north-eastern edge of Jim Corbett National Park. Ramnagar city is approximately 36 km from the entry gate.

Jhirna

Corbett Reserve Park's Jhirna Zone is located on the southern edge. Tigers and sloth bears can be spotted here, and the wildlife is spectacular here as well. There are several water streams in the zone that nourish the wildlife and provide the zone with a natural ambiance.

Garjiya

Jim Corbett National Park's Garjia jungle area is one of the most popular jungle areas. Floral and faunal species abound in this tourism zone. Safari lovers favor Garjia over the Dhikala tourism zone when it comes to safari options.

Best Zone in Jim Corbett

One of Corbett's most popular Safari zones is the Dhikala Zone and Jhirna zone. With panoramic valley views and wildlife sightings, the Dhikala Range is located 50 km and Safari in Dhikala will take you inside the dense forest of Jim Corbett. Furthermore, it comprises the largest remaining grassland, Dhikala chaur, as well as Phulai chaur. Similarly, Jhirna is famous for its big male tiger presence and huge wildlife diversity. Jhirna is the only zone where you can find Baloo very often.

Important Information about Jim Corbett National Park & Jungle Safari

  • In order to gain access to the park, visitors must obtain entry permits online (by presenting the above-mentioned documents).
  • The entry permit for Corbett National Park is a provisional permit that can be revoked or changed at any time without prior notification
  • We will be governed by the rules made by the Corbett Tiger Reserve Director in this regard.
  • Your entry permit cannot be transferred.
  • Only officially registered guides can accompany you on excursions; do not change your guide or naturalist
  • After sunset, it is prohibited to enter the park
  • Tourists staying in the forest lodges are the only ones allowed to visit Dhikala Tourism Zone during the day
  • You cannot get out of the jeep while doing a safari.
  • Pets are not permitted within the CTR while you are on holiday tour
  • Corbett Tiger Reserve is governed by the wildlife protection act, which applies to all visitors.

Terms and Condition for Online Safari Booking at National Park

  • The booking fee for a Jeep or Canter has to be paid at the time of booking online.
  • Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable once they have been confirmed.
  • To ensure availability, a booking must be made at least 10-15 days in advance if you plan to take a day visit Jeep Safari and Canter Safari in the good zones.
  • To ensure availability, a booking must be made at least 45 days in advance if you plan to take a Night stay in Dhikala zone.
  • In order to guarantee your safari, you should book your slot 45 days (for Indians) and 90 days (for foreigners) in advance.
  • There is no guarantee that the park will remain open to visitors when it is closed.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before the safari begins. The difference in the payment can be paid at the booking window during entry time if the payment is revised.
  • The guide will provide instructions before the safari begins.

Do's and Dont's during Jungle Safari

Do's
  • Before entering Corbett National Park, obtain the proper permits from the office
  • You should hire a guide when entering the forest so that he or she can take you to all the spots where you can see wildlife.
  • Wear less bright clothing so that animals won't be distracted
  • Be quiet in the park, as it will increase the chances of wildlife sighting.
  • It is not advisable to insist on driving along the track trails since this may interfere with the daily activities of animals and the growth of trees.
  • You may encounter insects that are poisonous to your body, such as mosquitoes and other insects. In order to avoid this, wear comfortable, long-sleeve clothing.
  • Carry refillable water bottles, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat and binoculars while on safari for a good experience.
  • Littering is prohibited. Avoid carrying any plastic or ontime usable things on safari.
  • Keep guns and pistols out of the park.
Dont's
  • Don't get lost in the park, and follow the right trails.
  • Don't get too close to the animals.
  • Do not carry luggage, luggage, or non-biodegradable products such as plastic, metal foils, tin cans, etc. when going on a safari tour.
  • It is not advisable to insist on driving along the track trails since this may interfere with the daily activities of animals and the growth of trees.

How to Reach Jim Corbett

By Road

To reach Corbett National Park from Delhi, you have to take a 6-hour drive by road. Corbett is located around 12 km from Ramnagar, the closest railway station. Regular trains connect New Delhi with all parts of India.

By Rail

Ramnagar, which is about 12 km from Corbett, has direct access to Delhi's train stations and is the closest rail station to the park. The best train to reach Corbett from Delhi is Ranikhet Express, which runs direct from Delhi to Ramnagar.

By Air

There is no airport in Corbett National Park. At a distance of 156 km from the NH34, the nearest airport is Dehradun Airport, Uttrakhand. 243 kilometers away is the nearest international airport, the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

Jim Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve lies in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand.
